This book explains, in a preliminary way, the meaning of consumer relations, consumer contracts and jurisdictional protection of the consumer. The initial part of the content of this work focuses on describing the comparative panorama of the judicial protection of consumers, starting from the analysis of the Directives of the European Union and studying two countries that are part of it, such as Italy and Spain. Subsequently, in the second part, an in-depth study of the mechanisms that allow consumers access to justice in Colombian legislation is carried out.

This text, which is divided into comparative law and national law, shows the academic community, litigants and judges, the vicissitudes presented by consumer actions in Colombia, placing emphasis on group action and consumer protection action before the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce or before the civil judge. The theme shows the reader the scope and structure of figures such as direct claim, active legitimation, expiration of the action, passive legitimation, jurisdiction and competence, the claim and its requirements, the processing of the process, the burden of proof, the modality of the sentence and the reckless action of the consumer.
