Accountability social extraviada en lo local.
Estudio de caso: Usaquén, Chapinero y Usme
Although Bogotá is administratively divided into 20 localities, only three were taken in this research on local social accountability. The idiosyncratic logic of Bogota residents and other residents was followed (one from the north, Usaquén; one from the center, Chapinero, and another from the south, Usme). The approach to this process was done with the case study methodology and made it possible to make visible how civil society organizations, grassroots or not, raise alerts about what is happening in the territory and activate initiatives. The results of this empirical research showed the use of tools, mechanisms and spaces at the micro-local level. In this way, this publication becomes a seminal academic work for studies on modalities of external, strange political participation unrelated to electoral behavior.
This book captures the findings of these forms of non-electoral political participation, both invisible actions (generating public opinion) and visible actions (expressed in behaviors) at the micro level.
