In this publication the reader will find the results of the latest work that, from different disciplines and perspectives, was carried out by researchers from the UNESCO and Childhood Chairs of the Externado University of Colombia. These Chairs are spaces for critical discussion about the effective guarantees of fundamental rights through overcoming violence and the exercise of democracy.
The first part of the book contains reflections on law as a force that transforms reality; the links between past and present violence in Latin America; the connection between history, politics and subjectivity against the subjects of injustices; reconstructive justice and victims' rights; the vindication of the inescapable memory of many peoples of Colombia; the Victims and Land Restitution Law in relation to the right to memory, the transaction contract and mental health; and, finally, favorable attitudes in school from a conception of human rights pedagogy.

ÁLVARO CHAOS CADOR es biólogo y programador de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Es Doctor en Ciencias por el Instituto de Ecología y tiene un postdoctorado del Centro de Ciencias de la Complejidad (C3) cursado en la misma institución. Es escritor y posee estudios en Letras Hispánicas y Filosofía. Su libro ¡Hay un dinosaurio en mi sopa! Obtuvo el Premio Internacional de Divulgación de la Ciencia Ruy Pérez Tamayo, organizado por el Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE); también es autor de Cazadores de monstruos, que le mereció el Cuarto Premio Nacional de Divulgación de las Ciencias y Tecnología Juan Oyarzabal, organizado por la Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México (UACM). Es autor de varios artículos y capítulos de libros en revistas internacionales y programas computacionales. Es profesor definitivo de la materia de Evolución en la UNAM.
