Volume VI Tourist places: an approach from the social imaginaries of tourism, narratives and sensorialities seeks to understand this topic through ten case studies, which are presented from four axes organized according to the territorial scale where regions, cities , municipalities and natural areas have expression.

The symbolic analysis of power, access and right to use the territory and the subjects that interact in the tourist experience are addressed, in which tensions and confluences between each other are evident. The multiple territorialities are constructed and deconstructed with tourist use based on imaginaries and narratives, generating encounters and disagreements. Various theoretical and methodological bets are also presented to recognize social and tourist imaginaries, according to the territorial scale: regions, cities, small municipalities and natural spaces are addressed, from various theoretical perspectives and from different sources that construct such imaginaries of places and that They fuel the creation of tourism products, permeating the visitor's experience. On the other hand, there is a reflection on the role that tourism plays in territorial changes, changes that bring to light contemporary or classic trends in tourist uses, which are also influenced by the tourist imaginary that has been forged over time. over time.
