El pacto fáustico. Escuela y ciudadanía.

This book has four fundamental dimensions. In the first dimension, an investigation is carried out on the way in which the notion and practice of citizenship is formed or attempted to be formed in an official school located in a popular neighborhood of Bogotá.

The second dimension is educational: training a group of undergraduate students in social sciences from the Externado University in social research. Two of whom worked for two more semesters on the organization and interpretation of the information collected and on the writing of the book.

The third dimension offers the reader (we are thinking mainly of school teachers of social sciences) the opportunity to become a reader-researcher, for which we have included in chapter four, The oral school, the most relevant informative material of the research. so that you can carry out your own interpretation and your own conclusions. At the end of the book, the possible ways of carrying out an interactive proposal are analyzed in detail.

The fourth dimension proposes the concept of the Faustian pact as the dynamic focus that generates the presence of three forms of citizenship that coexist in official schools.
