Soñé hacer política como los clásicos la imaginaron, entendiéndola como la más noble de las expresiones de los hombres que viven en sociedad. Desdibujada esa utopía, decidí ser fotógrafa en blanco y negro revelando el negativo de los procesos electorales de los últimos 25 años en Colombia.
I dreamed of doing politics as the classics imagined it, understanding it as the noblest of expressions of men who live in society. With that utopia blurred, I decided to be a black and white photographer revealing the negative of the electoral processes of the last 25 years in Colombia.
May the reader approach reading this text with the passion that I felt when analyzing each process; all gone through the electoral regulatory changes that have occurred since the promulgation of the 1991 Constitution in the context of violence that we suffer. I didn't draw conclusions; those are yours. In the light-dark photograph I saw a collapsed liberal party, a cracked conservative party, emerging political parties and "swallow"; an indicator vote of opinion. ..
The captive vote vanished like the demonstrations in public squares; Instead, social networks appeared, the proliferation of blank and null votes, and the distance from democracy as the Greeks practiced it.
