As it could not be otherwise, contemporary administrative law participates in the notable transformations of society, the State and the peculiar and intense relationship that intertwines both in our time. Even though the instruments used to provide the Administration with adequate means to fulfill its purposes seem to be the same as in previous times (e.g. administrative act, administrative procedure, contract, personnel, public property or powers of interference in private property, among others), the factual, legal and organic context, as well as the meaning, scope, dynamics and content of said instruments present profound changes. This volume brings together twelve texts in which the same number of researchers from the Administrative Law Research Group (GIDA) of the Externado University of Colombia address the study of the main legal and material instruments at the service of the Administration today. They define the fundamental keys to understand the current state of the administrative legal debate in these matters, understand its most outstanding changes and envision possible lines of evolution to come in each of the analyzed topics.
