I am pleased to present the second installment of the collection "Readings on Land Law" which reflects the work being carried out by different researchers from our Group, as well as some professors from the Specialization in Land Law, as well as several special guests, in research projects related to "Agrarian Reform" and "Land Restitution", the results of which the reader now has in his hands.
On this occasion the book has been distributed in four parts: the property in Colombia; reparation of victims and restitution of lands; Comprehensive rural reform and productive property management, and land and environmental law. The first chapter begins with the article by Ramón Antonio Peláez Hernández, who presents the treatment of private property from the perspective of the social State of law, for which he explains the way in which, based on the Constitution and the Pact of San José property protection mechanisms have been built. This first text constitutes the theoretical basis that allows us to subsequently delve into other matters related to the exercise and protection of this fundamental right.
