Sobre las estadísticas de infancia y trabajo en Colombia

Statistical data remains silent if we do not know how to interrogate them; They are, even in their limits, testimonies, spies, indications of reality that only speak to us if we place ourselves in front of them with questions that stalk them, so that they say more than they could tell us from a superficial and closed angle of view.

In this framework, this book wants to 'critically put pressure' on the official statistical data on the work of children and adolescents in Colombia, so that forgotten fragments can be revealed, relegated and almost imprisoned in shadow areas, links that weave important networks of interpretive valence, surprising problematizations of hastily agreed stereotypes, new and dense profiles of possible reconfigurations of this phenomenon. Thus, numbers, from being cold and inert figures, can become alternative words and discourses, which come to question certainties and dogmas. naturalizations and parameters, to which we have become uncritically accustomed.
