This research was formulated in order to answer the question: What types of requirements or limits do arbitration courts have that resolve collective economic conflicts according to jurisprudence? and develop a doctrine that allows, based on the pronouncements of the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court, to identify the parameters to which arbitration courts must be subject when settling a collective economic conflict. And above all, that the parties in conflict have the opportunity to analyze and decide on the convenience of allowing or not the conflict to escalate to such a stage based on the powers that the courts have to rule on the points on which there was no agreement during the settlement stage. directly within the collective bargaining process.

 The research work involved a review and analysis of the jurisprudence of the period 1990-2015 of the Supreme Court of Justice and the period 1992-2015 of the Constitutional Court on labor arbitration courts that allowed establishing the legal and economic restrictions imposed. to the equitable decisions that they make and how ignorance of these limits empowers the high courts to rule annulling them or protecting the protection of fundamental rights.

 Therefore. Most of the content of each of the sections developed in this research has the particularity of being based on jurisprudential decisions of the high courts and therefore they are valid and of high practical value for the professional practice of the labor lawyer.
