The Labor Research Center of the Department of Labor Law of the Externado University of Colombia carried out research aimed at studying resignations and termination by mutual agreement as ways to end labor relations in the private and public sectors; For this, a review of the most important and most recent doctrine and jurisprudence of the three high courts of Colombia was made.
This book is the result of this research and it refers to both the concepts that different sources of law have given, as well as the validity requirements of the ways of terminating the employment relationship by resignation and mutual agreement, the particularities that these imply in the private sector and in the public sector, the reasons why jurisprudence has specified and differentiated them from other forms of termination, as well as the alternative mechanisms to prevent conflicts derived from these and the requirements for them to produce effects. .
